Cherry Dr. Pepper Cake

Outrageous Cherry Dr Pepper Cake is an incredibly delicious Cherry Chocolate Cake recipe with only 5 ingredients that will astonish you!
I almost call this a chocolate dump cake, because from frosting to cake, this simple cake from Dr. Pepper using cake mix takes only 5 ingredients and is possibly the easiest and tastiest cake ever.
The rich, fluffy and fluffy cake melt in your mouth. Topped with a homemade cherry marashino frosting is really a flavor blast.
It is ready to be tossed in the oven in no time. Honestly, I don’t usually make dump cakes, but sometimes you just need an easy recipe that will impress the crowd.

Ingredients :
° Chocolate cake mix: one box (I use dry mix only)
° Dr. Pepper cherry soda: 1 1/2 cups
° Marashino cherries without stem: 1 jar (I always remove 24 cherries from the jar and leave them aside)
° Unsalted sweet cream butter: 1 cup (soft)
° Powdered sugar: 3 cups + 2 cups if needed
° Chocolate Chips: 1 package, if desired (found in Hobby Lobby)
* Directions :
+To prepare the cake:
1. I always set the oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit before I start.
2. Using the baking spray Pam, spray the 9 x 13 baking dish; Sit aside.
3. Then mix the cake mixture and soda in a stand mixer until combined.
4. Make sure the cherries are cut in half. Also please mixing it to batter.
5. The cake batter should be poured into the baking dish at this point.
6. Once done, bake in the oven or until a clean toothpick comes out, it takes about half an hour.
7. The last step is to allow the cake to cool completely before decorating.
+To freeze cherries:
1. Whisk the butter, powdered sugar and cherry juice together with a standing mixer until combined and solid.
2. You may want to add another cup of powdered sugar if the garnish is thin.
3. Make sure to pour the icing on the cake. Using an angled spatula, smooth evenly.
4. Now, sprinkle the chocolate chips on the icing. Remember to always add a little cherry.
5. Finally, refrigerate for 60 minutes to allow the frosting to harden before slicing!
