Berry Sour Cream Cake

Irresistible Berry Sour Cream Treat


For the Dough:
– 200g flour
– 1 tsp baking powder
– A pinch of salt
– 100g sugar
– A pinch of vanilla
– 1 egg
– 100g butter

For the Filling:
– 100g sour cream
– 100g condensed milk
– 1.5 tbsp corn starch
– 300g mixed berries (black and red currants)


1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) and grease a baking dish.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and vanilla.
3. Add the egg and softened butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
4. Press the dough into the bottom of the greased baking dish, forming an even layer.
5. In another bowl, mix sour cream, condensed milk, and corn starch until smooth.
6. Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the dough layer.
7. Sprinkle the mixed berries over the sour cream layer, distributing them evenly.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the filling is set.
9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
