This Lemon Poppy Seed Pound Cake is dense, moist and bursting with lemon flavor!


  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
