Light classic with burger steak in broth and onions.Traditionally served with hot rice or steamed potatoes, it’s a great way to garnish a pound of ground beef with all the ingredients on hand.
* ingredients :
° 1 pound minced meat
° rusk cup
° 2 teaspoons ketchup
° 1 teaspoon mustard
° 1 tsp sauce Worcestershire
° Half a teaspoon of garlic powder
° ½ teaspoon onion powder – optional, use if onions are not in the broth

° 1 teaspoon oil
° 2 cups beef broth
° 4 tablespoons of flour
° 1 teaspoon ketchup
° ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

If you want onions to caramelize in your meat broth, start by cutting a small onion into thin slices. Cook with 1 teaspoon of oil over medium-high heat until light brown in colour. About 7-8 minutes. Set aside in a bowl.Mix 1 lb. ground beef with ½ cup bread crumbs, 2 teaspoons ketchup, 1 teaspoon mustard and Worcestershire sauce, and ½ teaspoon garlic powder.If the onion is not cooked, add ½ teaspoon of onion powder.Divide 0.5 lb. hamburger mixture into 34 equal portions.
A 1/4-inch indent in the center will help prevent the cake from bloating and baking more evenly.Place steaks in a large skillet with 1 teaspoon of oil over medium to high heat.Turn every 56 minutes until the internal temperature reaches approximately 165 degrees.15-20 minutes depending on thickness, inner vessel and burner.Mix 4 tablespoons of tapioca starch with a cup of beef stock. Removing Salisbury steak to a dish and tent it sweetly .
Pour off most of the liquid, leaving about 3-4 tablespoons of liquid. Let the pan cool slightly. Adding 1 c beef broth & bring to a boil on medium heat.Add flour mixture slowly while whisking.Add 1 teaspoon ketchup and ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Salt to taste.Beat for a few minutes until thickened.If using, add the caramelized onions to the broth and mix well.Adding steak to mix & simmer for a some minutes.Serving wiith mashed potatoes or to taste.
