STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE TRIFLE

Ingredients:
1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 package instant cheesecake-flavored pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
1 package ladyfinger cookies or pound cake, cut into cubes
1/4 cup strawberry jam or preserves
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a bowl, prepare the instant cheesecake-flavored pudding mix according to the package instructions, using the cold milk. Whisk until smooth and refrigerate for 5 minutes to set.
In a trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer half of the ladyfinger cookies or pound cake cubes at the bottom.
Spoon half of the prepared cheesecake pudding over the cake layer, spreading it evenly.
Drizzle half of the strawberry jam or preserves over the pudding layer, followed by half of the sliced strawberries.
Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfinger cookies or pound cake cubes, cheesecake pudding, strawberry jam, and sliced strawberries.
Finish by spreading the whipped cream or whipped topping over the top layer of strawberries.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve chilled and enjoy!
