Mom’s Gooey Butter Cake

Cook time: 35 Min Prep time: 20 Min Serves: several
4 large eggs
1 stick butter
1 box yellow cake mix
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
2 c or 1 box powdered sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Mix together dry cake mix, butter, and 2 eggs and press into a greased 9″ x 13″ cake pan, pushing the sides up slightly to hold the filling.
3. For filling: Mix cream cheese, remaining 2 eggs, and powdered sugar, till smooth.
4. Pour filling into crust and bake for 35 minutes.
5. Let cool. Serve at room temperature. Store in refrigerator.
