Pecan Pie Bread Pudding without the Crust

* Ingredients:

° 1 bread

° 2 ½ cup of milk

° ½ of 15% cream

° 4 eggs

° 1 cup of sugar

° 1 tablespoon of vanilla

° a pinch of salt

° 1/2 cup butter

° 1 1/2 cups brown sugar

° 1 cup of pecans

° 1 pinch of nutmeg

* Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and butter an 8-inch square pan.

Cut the baguette into cubes.

Place the bread cubes in a bowl.

In another bowl, combine the milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Mix well.

Add the bread cubes to this mixture and let the bread cubes soak for about 5 to 10 minutes.

In a third bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, pecans and nutmeg.

* Assembly:

Place half of the bread mixture in the square pan.

Top with half the pecans.

Add the remaining bread mixture and add the remaining pecans.

Bake for 50 minutes.
